Ontario Skilled Trades Draw October 2024
On October 17, 2024, Ontario issued targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates who may be eligible for the province’s Express Entry Skilled Trades stream.
To qualify, candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 405 and 435, and relevant work experience in one of the specified National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes. The primary NOC must be reflected in their Express Entry profile, and at least six months of their required one year of work experience must be in that occupation.
Eligible NOC codes include:
- NOC 72010: Supervisors, machining, metal forming, shaping, and related trades
- NOC 72011: Supervisors, electrical trades and telecommunications
- NOC 72012: Supervisors, pipefitting trades
- NOC 72013: Supervisors, carpentry trades
- NOC 72020: Supervisors, mechanic trades
- NOC 72021: Supervisors, heavy equipment operators
- NOC 72022: Supervisors, printing and related trades
- NOC 72100: Machinists and tooling inspectors
- NOC 72101: Tool and die makers
- NOC 72102: Sheet metal workers
- NOC 72103: Boilermakers
- NOC 72104: Metal fabricators and fitters
- NOC 72105: Ironworkers
- NOC 72200: Electricians (excluding industrial and power systems)
- NOC 72201: Industrial electricians
- NOC 72203: Electrical power line workers
- NOC 72205: Telecommunications installation technicians
- NOC 72300: Plumbers
- NOC 72301: Pipefitters and sprinkler installers

If you received a notification on October 17, 2024, and meet the criteria, you may apply through Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades stream by:
- Reviewing the program requirements for Ontario Skilled Trades stream.
- Ensure you have all the required documents to submit a complete application, so you won’t need to worry about it being returned.
- Logging into the OINP e-Filing Portal as a new or returning user.
