Canada has launched new pilot programs aimed at supporting caregivers and Canadian families. These initiatives will provide home care workers with permanent residency (PR) upon arrival, streamlining the immigration process for qualified candidates.
New Caregiver Pilot Programs to Replace Existing Pathways
As the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot came to an end on June 17, 2024. this month, the Government of Canada has announced two enhanced caregiver pilot programs.
The new Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots will officially open on March 31, 2025, allowing caregivers to continue working in Canada with a clear path to permanent residency from day one. More details will be provided soon.

- Work Experience: Have recent and relevant work experience in home care.
- Job Offer: Secure a full-time home care job in Canada.
